Michael Heathington founded Colt Construction in 1997. Mr. Heathington started Colt after spending the previous seven years working for a paving contractor. As with many entrepreneurs, Michael desired to form his own company. Consequently, he left his employer and formed Colt Construction and Asphalt, Inc. Starting with a few loyal customers, Michael grew the company from zero dollars in sales to over $2,000,000 in sales annually. Colt grew from a crew with 3 men, to a current mix of 6 crews that can mobilize up to 50 men when the situation dictates. Michael started with 1 truck and 1 trailer. Today colt has a fleet of trucks, 2 backhoes, a mobile mixer, a dump truck, a paver, a roller, and all the other equipment necessary to complete jobs involving concrete or asphalt. In 2003, Michael met and brought in, David Reeder, who invested in the company. With new resources, and other areas of expertise brought by David, Colt is now focused on serving 2 markets with their asphalt and concrete needs: the property management industry, and the general contracting industry.

Michael Heathington

Michael Heathington is the founder of Colt Concrete & Asphalt, Inc. He has 15 years of experience selling and servicing the paving industry. Mr. Heathington has a vast knowledge of the industry and invaluable contacts with property managers and other accounts that use paving services.

Todd Hagen

Todd Hagen has been with Colt since inception. Like Mr. Heathington, he also has 15 years of experience in the paving industry. Mr. Hagen both manages the jobs and sells. His primary focus is selling to general contractors.

David Reeder

David Reeder has extensive experience in the construction industry. He has two main areas of focus with the company: administrative over site, and service to the general contractor side of the business.
